Waterloo Region  – The Immigration Partnership Council is pleased to announce eight new grants to private sponsorships groups and agencies supporting Syrian newcomers. New grants totaling $104,125 have been approved under the Immigration Partnership Fund for Syrian Newcomers, bringing total grant-making to $680,619. New grants include:

Waterloo Region has always welcomed refugees. The Waterloo Region Landlords Welcome Refugees Award recognizes landlords that went above and beyond to provide affordable housing solutions for refugees in the last year.  
2016 saw a tremendous outpouring of community caring to and support for the resettlement of hundreds of Syrian refugee families in Waterloo Region. The winners of this award are a few of the amazing examples of this response.

Waterloo Region  – The Immigration Partnership Council is pleased to announce five new grants to agencies supporting Syrian newcomers. New grants totaling $126,200 under the Immigration Partnership Fund for Syrian Newcomers have been approved, bringing total grant-making to $571,933. New grants include:
$5,000 to a private sponsorship group led by Gary Petker and $20,000 to Reception House to ensure access to dental treatment for Syrian families.
